Aaron Gill Files to run for State Representative, Hillsborough County, District 39

Deering, NH - June 7, 2012 - Democrat Aaron Gill from Deering filed papers today to run for the office of State Representative in Hillsborough County, District 39.

"I'm excited to formally announce my candidacy to return civility and honor to the state house. Over the past 18 months, New Hampshire's common sense style of politics was replaced by rigid ideology and out-of-state interests," Gill said.

He added, "Folks here expect their citizen legislators - their neighbors, to think independently and work together to provide basic, essential services, and to do so frugally. Speaker O'Brien has balanced the state budget by eliminating vital programs and downshifting costs to local taxpayers. Our Reps should balance the budget while maintaining or improving services, not by cutting education or transportation funding."

Hillsborough County's floterial District 39 covers the towns of Deering, Goffstown, and Weare.

Mr. Gill chose to run for the New Hampshire house early in 2012, as Republicans in Concord relentlessly attacked women, marriage equality, state workers, unions, and public education.

Aaron Gill, 35, is a small business loan underwriter and a member of the Deering Conservation Commission. He purchased a vacant home in Deering with his husband Rob Girard in 2007.
